Shiela Corley

Shiela Corley grew up in Western Kentucky in the small town of Greenville. She is the daughter of a coal miner and farmer. Following her heart and love for the University of Kentucky, she graduated from the University of Kentucky with Bachelor and Master’s degree, double Wildcat. After completing graduate school, she began her career with United States Department of Agriculture where she currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Food and Nutrition Service. She has been an active member of the University of Kentucky’s Nation’s Capital Region Alumna Chapter and served as vice president from 2004 -2009. She currently serves on the University of Kentucky Alumni Board of Directors. Shiela is active in her community where she is a member of the Junior League of Washington DC and served as president (2013-2014). She serves on several non-profit boards but is proud to be part the Washington School for Girls Development Board where they work to close the educational gap and broaden the educational opportunities for girls from economically disadvantaged communities in grades 3-8.
